The MKVI EOD Helmet, like everything else that the system comprises, has gone through an in-depth design and development programme.

Advanced Features of the MKV EOD helmet:

Streamlined profile providing for lower radial and linear head acceleration during any given blast event.

Compression moulded shell using multiaxial preform technology (MAPT) providing higher ballistic and structural strength.

30mm thick impact liner providing a substantial reduction in linear and radial head acceleration during blast events.

Heated Glass/Polycarbonate Visor providing improved protection and long term visibility.

The heated visor is powered by a battery pack fitted at the rear of the helmet. A new battery pack will provide over two hours operation.

Forced air ventilation to ensure exhaled air is removed from helmet.

Detachable liner with accurate sizing capability providing enhanced comfort and ease of laundering.
